Rebecca Shaw Archaeological Services is a small professional company which is based in Glasgow with two further small offices in Dumfries & Galloway and Sutherland. The company is run by Rebecca Shaw who has worked as a field archaeologist for 13 years and offers competitive rates to undertake work in all areas of Scotland. Rebecca was brought up on a hill sheep farm in Galloway and is therefore able to offer a comprehensive understanding of both farming issues as well as the complications of the farming calender! Rebecca graduated from Glasgow University in 1998 with an MA (Hons) in Archaeology and worked for various professional field units, as well as spending a year with Historic Scotland as an Assistant Inspector of Monuments, before establishing her own small company. Rebecca is a member of the Institute of Field Archaeology and has a personal interest in mills and toll houses, particularly in Galloway.
